Hello.
Hardliners
were described as being anti-abortion yet at the same time anti-sexism...
This seems oddly ironic to me.
I am softline sXe, a vegetarian, and a feminist. Though I do not
believe in promiscuous or casual sex, I realize that not EVERYONE
follows this same principle, and in thinking so, I believe that
denying a woman an abortion is an extremely sexist and cruel thing
to do to a woman. It is an act of extreme malice and violence
to force a woman living under any circumstance to bring to term
an unwanted child. Not only does this endanger the woman's life,
but it causes uncountable problems for the mother, the child and
the economy after the child is delivered.
I have been active in both sides of the abortion argument. I was
raised Catholic and am familiar with any argument a person can
give against abortion and have used them all myself on occassion.
But after seeing what happens when a disabled child is brought
into a world unwilling or unable to care for it. I have seen teenage
mothers kicked out of the house, left to fend for themselves and
a child they don't want or understand in a cold, cruel world that
snubs them and hates them for reasons unexplained.
The only argument against abortion that does not include hypocritical
and bigotted pseudo-religious rhetoric and propaganda, other than
that of violence (which I just explained), is that a person should
be held responsible for their actions. Having sex before marriage
or outside of a stable long-term relationship is a mistake, but
a commen one, accepted and even encourage by modern American society,
made by both males and females. Where is the consequence for males?
WHy do men not have to pay? Why are womyn held prisoners by their
anatomy while men live free as birds, cheaper, easier and consequence
free?
THough
I wish abortion was an unnecessary thing, but the lives of 75,000
women who die in back alleys, victems of broom sticks and glass
bottles, far outweigh the possible lives. I could never go through
it, myself, nor could I encourage it as a choice. But CHOICE is
the operative word. As long as this country, this society, is
as messed up as it is, choice IS THE ONLY CHOICE! Choice is pro-life.
Anti-woman is not. It is a necessary evil.
As for the ALF affiliation, I too am involved, though I am not
hardline. I advocate underground "terrorism" and direct action.
As long as the abuse and cruelty continues, I cannot sit still
and keep my mouth shut. Bomb the fuckrz, ALF. It's our world,
and capitalism is killing it.
I
do not hate anyone for any choice he/she has made. Doing so is
against the sXe ethic. Hate is the biggest killer. Not only does
it cause wars, it kills the soul of the one who harbors it. ANd
hatred only comes from narrow-mindedness and stupidity.
More
important than whether or not we agree is UNITY!
